YVONNE PERRY (Dramaturg/Voice/Betty) is a professional actress, director and educator. She is always pleased to return to theRep, where she serves as an Associate Artist and has acted in many productions.  Recent roles include Elvira in Blithe Spirit and  Karen in Red Maple.  She has also performed with Saratoga Shakespeare, Hubbard Hall, Oldcastle, NYSTI, River Valley Rep, Stageworks/Hudson, Theatre 88 and Gulfshore Playhouse.  Yvonne has served on the reading and selection committee for Cap Rep’s Next Act New Play Summit since its inception, and she often directs its staged readings.  Yvonne originated the role of Rosanna Cabot on As The World Turns.  Other TV:  Law & Order: CI and SVU; Silk Stalkings, Candid Camera, All My Children.   She frequently directs for Theatre Voices, and keeps busy doing corporate training videos, TV commercials, and narration work.  Yvonne has taught and directed shows at area colleges for over 20 years.  (Skidmore, UAlbany, Siena, Union) BFA:  Adelphi University.  MA: UAlbany.   Member AEA and SAG-AFTRA, Vice Chair of the Greater Albany Area Liaison of Actors Equity. www.yvonneperry.com 

(Capital Repertory Theatre Producing Artistic Director) has worked on and off Broadway and in numerous regional theatres, directing more than 100 productions. As Producing Artistic Director of Capital Rep since 1995, she directs plays and musicals each season, including Shakespeare in Love, Nora, Red, Ring of Fire, The Secret Garden, To Kill a Mockingbird, Grand View, Metamorphoses, Terra Nova, Syncopation and The Irish And How They Got That Way. A great proponent of history and the power of theatre to ignite young imaginations, Maggie has written and co-written several plays for Capital Rep’s On the Go Theatre for Young Audiences tours, including Pure Poe, They Built America: the Immigrants Who Built the Erie Canal, Friend of a Friend (with Jill Rafferty-Weinisch), Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella! (with Margaret E. Hall). She is the recipient of the Norman E. Rice Award for Excellence in Arts Education, the Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Chamber of Commerce and was named a Woman of Excellence by the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce. She holds an MFA in directing from Columbia University.

ANDREA ADAMCZYK is the Costume Shop Manager here at theRep and designed the costumes for SummerStage 2021 as well as pieces for Ethel Waters: His eye is on the Sparrow.   She freelanced as a costume technician in New York City working on productions for New York City Opera Company, Virginia Opera Company, NYU and Dollywood as well as Specialty Events and Industrials.  Locally, she has designed and built hundreds of costumes for the Bethlehem Central School District, including Annie, Seussical, High School Musical, Grease, Much Ado About Nothing, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast and Titanic. 

ROSE BIGGERSTAFF is thrilled to be back at theRep! Prior to working on The True and Fly, Rose has worked both backstage and on stage! Past credits include directing and stage managing with companies such as Northeast Theater Ensemble, SLOC, BrownBox Productions, NSCP, Proctors, as well as many others. Outside of theatre she enjoys painting, reading and going on hikes. Wishing broken legs to the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly to put this show on stage!

LAURA ANN CRAWFORD is a PNW native. She fell in love with stage management while working in community theatre back in her hometown and never looked back! Previous credits include Avenue Q, Newsies and The Woman in Black as well as theRep’s 2019-2020 Season as their Assistant Stage Manager. Between rehearsals and shows, Laura enjoys hiking in the ADK and sipping gourmet teas.

MICHAEL DUNNE: Thank you Capital Rep for having me back as wig designer for this production of The True. It is great to be back in the theater doing what we love. It looks to be a great line up of shows both here and at Proctors where I am local working on wigs for the great tours that pass through our area. I had an awesome experience working on my first movie set this past summer in Troy and Albany with cast and crew of Resurrection. Adding to that are the many shows I have designed for Mac Haydn, CR productions and Park Playhouse in the early 90s. I am a proud member of IATSE LOCAL 524.

HOWARD TSVI KAPLAN For twenty-five seasons Mr. Kaplan has been the Resident Costume Designer for the Sarasota Opera, where he has designed over 120 productions.  
His recent endeavors include designing the costumes for Blithe Spirit (Which he won Best Costume Award for Berkshire Area Broadway World Award) for Capital Rep; My Fair Lady, and Midsummer Night’s Dream for The Barter Theatre ; Streetcar Named Desire, Werther, and The Consul for Florida Grand Opera. 
Design credits include twelve years as the principal designer for Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Clown College; THE MIKADO at Pittsburgh Public Theatre; Man of La Mancha for the Olney Theatre for which he was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award 
He was a resident designer for both The Alley Theatre, where he designed the American Premiere of…HENCEFORWARD, written and directed by Alan Ayckborn; and The Asolo Theatre, where he designed the World Premiere of Horton Footes’ Talking Pictures. 

DEVORAH KENGMANA(she/her/hers) is a New York based Lighting and Projections designer. She is thrilled to be returning to Capital Rep after having previously designed Lobby Hero in 2019. Other credits include: The Sound Inside (SpeakEasy Stage Company), Surely Goodness & Mercy (KEEN Company), School Girls (SpeakEasy Stage Company), The Mecca Tales (Voyage Theatre Company), Beyond the Oak Trees (Crossroads Theatre Company), The Niceties (Portland Stage Company), and Journey’s End (Kansas City Actors’ Theatre), among others. She also works with The New York Times doing video engineering work for live and virtual events.

STEPHANIE KLAPPER is elated to return to working with Maggie, the Capital Rep family, and the The True’s creative team. SKC’s award-winning work is frequently seen on Broadway, off-Broadway, regionally, on film, television, and streaming media.  Stephanie, along with her exceptional team, is dedicated to continuing to expand and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the business. Connecting creative, caring people to each other to make extraordinary things happen is amongst her greatest joys.  Ms. Klapper is passionate about arts education and working with creative teams to develop and expand the scope of established and new works. Ms. Klapper is a member of the National Board of the Casting Society of America, Casting Society Cares, and New York Women in Film.

SARAH PUTTS Sarah is excited to be making her Capital Rep debut on this production of The True. Sarah lives in Chicago and is the Resident Sound Designer and Technical Manager at Otherworld Theatre, the only Science Fiction and Fantasy theatre in the world. She studied Theatrical Sound design at Illinois State (BS) and the University of Missouri Kansas City (MFA). Recent productions she has worked on include My Way, Winter in the Wildwood (Devised piece), Murder on the Horizon (Devised piece), Of Dice and Men, Noises Off, Boeing Boeing.

ROMAN TATAROWICZ Previous designs for Cap. SHARR WHITE Sharr White’s plays have been performed on and off Broadway, nationwide, and internationally. White’s The Other Place premiered Off-Broadway at MCC Theatre with Laurie Metcalf (Lucille Lortel and Obie awards), directed by Joe Mantello (Lucille Lortel nom), and was reprised on Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club with Joe Mantello again directing Laurie Metcalf (Tony nom). The Snow Geese premiered on Broadway with MTC, starring Mary Louise Parker and directed by Daniel Sullivan, as a co-production between Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC Theatre. Annapurna premiered Off-Broadway at The New Group, starring Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally. For television, White has written for Showtime’s The Affair; the Starz series Sweetbitter; created the Netflix limited series Halston with Ewan McGregor; and was co- showrunner of the HBOMax series, Generation. White’s newest play, Pictures From Home, is an adaptation of the photo book of the same name by the late photographer Larry Sultan. The True premiered Off-Broadway with The New Group, directed by Scott Elliott, and featuring Edie Falco, Michael McKean, John Pankow, and the late Peter Scolari. White is thrilled Capital Repertory Theatre is bringing The True to Albany.

CAPITAL REPERTORY THEATRE has a rich, local history of excellent entertainment and strong community relationships. Established in 1981, it came into existence through the dedication and perseverance of a group of Albany business, community and civic leaders. Donated labor, materials and expertise transformed the National Biscuit Co., a two-story-and-basement industrial building, constructed in 1888, located at 251 North Pearl Street, into what was to become the home of Albany’s first professional resident theatre.

Outreach was made to The League of Theatre Artists, a group of diverse actors, directors and playwrights, who spent summers at Art Awareness in Lexington. Working together, these artists, community leaders and an army of volunteers founded Capital Repertory Company. This initial investment of time and resources created the highly acclaimed, award-winning Capital Repertory Theatre with an annual operating budget of $2.3 million, and a history of producing more than 5,000 performances, employing more than 1,500 professional artists.

In all programs and services, theREP serves its mission by embracing the community as a source of inspiration. We embrace cast, crew and audiences from every background to expand the horizons of thought and understanding of the human condition through the power of theatre.
