Meet the Cast

Jenn is an actor, musician, director, composer, and educator. She is delighted to be performing again in a show she loves dearly. She originated the role of the female Bank Manager in the 2nd National Tour of “Once.” She has acted in numerous shows at various regional theatres, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Ogunquit Playhouse, the Paramount Theatre, the Actor’s Playhouse, the Ensemble Theatre Company, and Bucks County Playhouse. Dan Costello is proud to be returning to theREP, having previously appeared in “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Our Town.” Favorite roles include Charles Guiteau in “Assassins” (Playhouse Stage), Michael in “Dancing at Lughnasa” (Hubbard Hall), and Heisenberg in “Copenhagen” (u/s Syracuse Stage). Dan is the writer/composer of “ICU,” a new full-length original musical which debuted in November at Fort Salem. His immersive children’s play “The Forest of Feelings” will tour across the five boroughs of NYC this fall with New York City Children’s Theater. Recipient of a 2024 LARAC Community Arts Grant, Artist-In-Residence at the Sable Arts Project, Co-founder and Creative Director of Yo Re Mi. Sophia Sarbib is extremely proud and excited to be joining the summer cast of “Once.” Sophia grew up in Latham and will be starting middle school at Albany Academy. Her favorite subjects are math, art, and recess. She has appeared in productions of “Alice in Wonderland Jr.,” “How to Enchant a Bookshop,” “How I Became a Pirate,” “Schoolhouse Rock,” “Shrek Jr.,” and “Finding Nemo Jr.” through her school’s theatre program. Her two favorite musicals on Broadway include “Wicked” and “Little Shop of Horrors.” Sophia also enjoys playing tennis, swimming, riding roller coasters, and all things Harry Potter. She adores animals of all kinds and hopes to open a sanctuary in the future. Sophia would like to thank her parents for their love and support, and the cast and the directors for welcoming her into the theatre family.

John Sygar (Andrej) is grateful to be making his debut here at theREP! Lily Talevski (she/her), a Michigan native, is an actor, singer/musician and voice over artist of Macedonian descent residing in NYC and is so proud to make her Capital Repertory Theatre debut! Isla is a 10-year-old performer with a passion for acting and singing. She has played several exciting roles, including Miss Hannigan in “Annie Jr.” and Anna in “Frozen Jr.,” Radical Rhythm in “Musicville,” and Pomme Frite in “The Mystery Behind the Silver Screen.” When she’s not on stage, she loves creating art, spending time with family and friends, traveling—especially to the beach—and playing volleyball. Her enthusiasm for performing continues to grow, and she looks forward to expanding her experience with new and challenging roles. She is thrilled to be part of this production and thanks her teachers, directors, and family for their constant support and encouragement.
