Capital Repertory Theatre set to participate in 2025 CR*FT!

The Capital Region Festival of Theatre (CR*FT) celebrates and promotes the vibrant performing arts scene across the Capital Region and its surrounding cities, towns, and hamlets for all ages. Over four days, starting June 12, CR*FT will take center stage at seven venues, including Sage, SLOC and Capital Repertory Theatre. The festival will culminate in a thrilling finale Sunday, June 15, featuring 20 events at the UAlbany Campus Center. With more than 100 theatres in our community, there’s always something to discover—join us and be part of the show!

theREP will open the MainStage to host an exciting evening comprising presentations from local community theatres and theatre artists and provide a crew, light rep plot, modest props and set pieces.

Presentations must have a running time of no more than 20 minutes and may include one-act plays, readings, solo performances, solo songs (sung to a track), spoken word pieces or excerpts from plays (no musicals, please). 

Before the show, the theatre lobby will welcome patrons with fun activities and a cash bar, while upstairs in the Iselin Family Studio Theatre, an array of local theatres will provide materials, samples of theatre crafts and chances to win prizes in the day’s raffle. The idea is to create a great evening of entertainment and exemplary work on June 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at theREP, 251 N. Pearl St., Albany, NY 12207. All events are free and open to the public.

Any theatre or theatre artist in the region is eligible.

Please put “CRFT SUBMISSION” in your subject line. Include a short description of your project, a script and list of participants (actors, director, etc). Projects can be a past production or something planned just for the festival.
